Incredibly inspired by the natural world, I am continuously striving to create artworks to capture various wildlife’s characters and forms.
I studied fine art, animation, textiles and natural history illustration and self taught the art of needle felting. I spent lots of time traveling and marvelling, gardening and helping conserve wildlife, including wildlife rehabilitation. I never get bored of watching even the most common delicate blue tit, or looking that little bit closer at a forget me not. I love bringing reminders of the natural world inside, because we can easily separate ourselves from it, especially when involved in the black hole of a screen! My aims and passions are all about conserving nature, and helping it thrive, partly through helping others to see what’s around them and hopefully lighting the spark. Right now, we need massive change of human ways if we’re to see the natural world preserved and even rescued. In my creating, I recycle materials as much as I physically can, which takes a lot more time, but is worth it to avoid waste. This is so important to me and has always been a major focus in my life. I want to put things to use and not add to waste. I have always collected things to create other uses, rather than throw them. Please have a look around here and my Etsy shop and see if anything catches your fancy. Get in touch if you’d like to purchase, comission or stock anything. |
